Kingdom Keys
Keys for Couples (Marriages)
Mt. 16:19 –
“I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and God in heaven will allow whatever you allow on earth. But he will not allow anything that you don't allow.” - New Contemporary Version
Ø The Bible teaches that God through His word has given us “Keys” or “Principals” concerning how to handle any given situation.
Ø These Keys when used properly will unlock the door of victory in that situation.
(Please read carefully the following verses)
Ephesians 5:24-25
“Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;”
Ø Key 1 - Wives submit to your own husbands in everything.
Ø Key 2 - Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved. . .
* Both of us obviously have a part to play. The wife has her role, but so does the husband. You could say that this is a door with two locks. Both Keys must be used for the door to open.
* A lot has to do with how you define love and submission. For example, submission doesn’t mean agreement. You may not always agree with your husband, but that doesn’t give you the right to rebel. In fact submission is only possible when you don’t see eye to eye.
* Another example is love. Men and Women define love in different ways. Love is not a physical word, though it does require action. You must learn your wife’s love language and find out what makes her feel love and cherished. Christ is the measuring stick on how to love!
Ephesians 5:33 –
“Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence (respect) her husband.”
* When we live our life with love & respect for each other it results in a Happy Marriage!
(This is the beginning of many more keys to come. Please check back with us periodically for “Kingdom Keys” updates.)
